About the product
Q-Refinish 70-270 is a quick-drying ultra-high solid acrylic clearcoat for use on solvent and water-based basecoats. Ready for polishing after 15 minutes of forced drying at 60°C and cooling. Extremely UV resistant.
Recommended application. Spray viscosity 16 - 19 s 4 mm DIN. Using a gravity air/flow cup it is recommended to have these settings. Spray pressure 2-2.5 bar with spray nozzle 1.2-1.3 mm. At HVLP 1.2-1.3 mm and 2-2.5 BAR. Spray passes 0.5+ 1.
Usage time 50 min at 20 degrees. Dry film thickness 50-60 µm. Deaeration time 5-7 min between layers.
A 2K clear coat is a two-component coating system that requires a catalyst or hardener to activate the curing process. This 2K high solid clear coat is known for good durability, gloss retention, and resistance to yellowing by chemicals, weather, and UV radiation.
Therefore, the clear coat is mixed in 2:1 volume with the dedicated hardener 70-270HN hardener.
Drying at 20°C. dust dry for 1-1.5 hours. dry to polish 3,4 hours. Fully hardness 4 days.
Drying at 60 °C. dust dry 10 min. dry to polish 15 min. Fully hardness 15 min + 3 days
IR drying. Short wave 8 min. medium wave 10 - 15 min.
