Hardener for putty
A 2K (two-component) polyester putty is used together with a hardener. The curing process creates a strong and durable surface by initiating a chemical reaction between the putty and the hardener. Without the hardener, the putty will not harden properly and you will not achieve the desired strength and durability. For optimal use, we recommend a putty mixing board and a Japanese putty knife.

mixing ratios and usage tips
When working with BPO (benzoyl peroxide) hardener and putty, it is essential to know the correct mixing ratio. Typically, the ratio ranges from 1% to 4% BPO hardener relative to the amount of putty. Following the manufacturer's instructions precisely ensures a strong and durable surface. Proper mixing and curing times are critical to achieving optimal adhesion and durability.
SAFETY AND APPLICATION GUIDELINES
Always prioritize safety when handling chemicals such as hardeners. Use protective equipment including nitrile gloves, goggles, and a respirator in a well-ventilated area. BPO hardeners are ideal for polyester and fiberglass repairs and usually come as a greyish or white paste or gel. Carefully mix in the correct proportions with putty or gelcoat before application to ensure excellent repair strength and durability. Using the right techniques and products will make your project successful.
