Removal

Stripping is the first and rough part. You ensure the removal of old layers of paint, varnish, or other coatings from the surface. This can be done using chemical cleaners or by mechanical removal such as scraping. You can also choose e.g. sanding with sandpaper or sanding brushes. The purpose of cleaning is to get a clean surface without old coatings so that a new coating can be applied. Remember to use a degreaser before painting.
