Industrial vacuum cleaners

An industrial vacuum cleaner is usually larger and more powerful than a household vacuum cleaner. It is designed to perform tasks that ordinary vacuum cleaners cannot handle. Industrial vacuum cleaners are divided into three filter classes (L = Low, M = Medium, and H = High hazard class) and typically come with different container volumes.

dust class overview and applications

Industrial vacuum cleaners are classified according to the type of dust they can safely handle. The L dust class is suitable for harmless dust such as plaster, aluminium, and general dirt, with 99% filtration efficiency. The M dust class is designed for hazardous dust like paint, varnish, fillers, and wood dust (e.g., MDF), offering 99.9% filtration efficiency. The H dust class is for cancer-causing dust contaminated with carcinogens or pathogens, including respirable crystalline silica (RCS), lead dust and fumes, and asbestos, with 99.995% filtration efficiency.

choosing the right industrial vacuum cleaner

Select the appropriate industrial vacuum cleaner based on the dust hazard class and workplace exposure standards. For general workplaces, M class vacuum cleaners are a good starting point. For use on construction sites and superstructures, H class vacuum cleaners are recommended to ensure maximum safety and compliance with regulations.
