Choose the Hearing and Ear Protection that’s right for you
While working in noisy environments, it’s important to wear protective hearing equipment to keep your eardrums safe. Eardrums are delicate parts of our inner ears that let us detect the vibrations in the air that cause sounds. Our inner ears are also responsible for our sense of balance. When any part of the ear becomes damaged, we don’t only risk losing our ability to hear but our ability to balance properly as well.
Harmful levels of noise can damage the cells and membranes of our ears resulting in impaired hearing, vertigo, and other health conditions.
In the workplace, there will be requirements for the area to be marked, where there are currently requirements for the use of hearing protection. This must be done with a hearing protection symbol.
What types of PPE protects your ears?
Ear Plugs (disposable)
Often overlooked, earplugs are a vital piece of hearing protection equipment. These small and compact expandable foam plugs conform to the shape of your ear and do an excellent job of blocking sound out. At LAKGRUPPEN, we offer versatile foam earplugs as well as banded earplugs for more convenient insertion and removal.
Earmuffs
Great for reducing noise exposure at work, safety earmuffs are comfortable and easy to wear. Our collection of earmuffs also includes models with built-in radio headsets so you can stay in contact with others on the job site. Earmuffs often offer superior eardrum protection thanks to their encompassing cup-like shape.
At LAKGRUPPEN, we supply an assortment of ear protection for loud worksites and project environments. Choose from different types of earplugs and earmuffs depending on what best suits your needs.
Remember that hearing protection is not a permanent solution to noise problems.
