About the product

Lechler 05331 Multilight Universal Putty is a multifunctional polyester putty with l"ow weight" and high filling capacity. For use on steel or zinc-coated plates.

The putty is suitable for leveling large imperfections on steel or zinc-coated sheets used for industrial painting of cars and automobiles repair. 05331 Multilight has a good "lightness" (specific weight 1000 g/l) and with excellent adhesion on zinc-coated sheets, steel, cast iron, aluminum and fiberglass. Easy to apply, easy to sand, the putty is also characterized by a very high filling capacity and dries quickly. The putty is actually also suitable for being dried by IR lamps (normal and short waves).

Improvement of the substrate

Zinc-coated plates, steel, aluminium, these types of substrates must be roughened and degreased with 00695 SILICONE REMOVER SLOW. For old coatings, note that Multilight must not be applied to solvent-sensitive coatings. NEVER apply on Wash Primer and In case of previous primer application, use epoxy primers such as 04384 EPOFAN PRIMER R-EC GRIGIO and allow to dry.

Multilight putty is a 2K polyester putty, and therefore it must be mixed according to the mixing ratio (volume and weight) 05331 MULTILIGHT 1000 parts mix with 00281 POLYDUR HARDENER 10-30 parts. Note in summer the catalysis can be reduced to 1% and in winter it can be increased to 3%

Drying time: Multilight can be sanded after 20-30 min. at 20°C with IR lamps (drying times depend on the power of the lamp). Dry sanding with P60-80 grit paper and finishing with P120-150 grit paper.

Overcoat with a filler-sealer from the Lechler Car Refinishing series.
