About the product
Q-Refinish 70-265 is a VOC-compatible High-Solid acrylic clearcoat, designed for both full and partial refinishing of cars and commercial vehicles. It provides an exceptional gloss and optimal finish on both solvent and water-based basecoats.
70-265 UHS VOC Clear Coat ensures optimal curing, especially when oven drying, but also at room temperature. It can be polished immediately after forced drying and is highly resistant to all types of weather influences as well as mechanical stress and chemical agents.
Uniquely, 70-265 is also suitable as a protective clear lacquer coating for neon colors (fluorescent colors) and can be easily and safely applied in all climatic conditions.
Mixing: Mix the clear coat 2:1 with hardener 70-260HN (normal) or 70-260HF (fast).
Application: The clear coat is applied with a sprayer. Use a nozzle of 1.2-1.3 mm at a pressure of 2.0-2.2 bar. Apply in a half layer + a full layer. Wait 1-3 minutes between layers and 10-15 minutes before oven drying. Viscosity when applied is 19-22 seconds (4 mm DIN). Layer thickness should be 50-60 micrometers.
Drying times at 20°C:
Dust dry: 25-35 minutes
Touch dry: 12 hours
Ready for assembly: 24 hours
Drying times at 60°C:
Dust dry: 30 minutes
Ready for assembly: 2 hours
