Grid cut model 295 is used to test the adhesion strength of the coating. Model 295/II is a handheld instrument consisting of an ergonomically shaped plastic shaft with a cutting wheel.

Delivered in a robust plastic case and with accessories in the form of a polyamide brush and a magnifying glass.

By testing the adhesion during the coating process, it is possible to assess the adhesion strength between base material and coating, and between several successive coatings (e.g. paint layers).

Adhesion testing is also a control point in connection with the inspection of finished surface coatings. The coating's adhesion is not only important for how well it sticks. The quality of the adhesion is also important for the formation of rust.
