LS152 (29152) Acryl 2K Matt

Lechler LS152 (29152) Acryl 2K Matt is a two-component satin matt (15-35 gloss) acrylic enamel with direct adhesion to the substrate. Suitable for the metal industry and plastics in general.

Lechler LS152 (29152) Acryl 2K Matt has a very good adhesion on:

Steel (the product does not contain any anticorrosive pigments; steel protection is achieved via a barrier effect)

Stainless steel

Galvanized steel (EG and HDG)

Aluminium and light metals

Brass

Zama (zinc+aluminium+magnesium)

FGRP (polyester + glass fibre)

Phenolic resins and urea resins

Nylon (PA)*

Polyurethane resins (PUR)

Carbon fibre

* Use hardener 29343 LECHSYS ISOLACK ESP INDUSTRY HARDENER in the same amount as 29342 (20%) when painting nylon.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Steel, aluminium and its alloys, brass and zama:

Degrease with 00695 SILICONE REMOVER SLOW and lightly sand with Scotch Brite.

FGRP, phenolic and urea resins, carbon fiber, PU and PA:

Degreased with 00617 PLASTIC CLEANER.

MIXING RATIO

1000 parts LS152 ACRYL 2K MATT (binder 29152).

200 parts 29342 LECHSYS ISOLACK ESP HARDENER or 29360 INDURITORE NG1 (hardener).

350-400 parts 00824 (Slow) - 00825 (Standard) LECHSYS UNIVERSAL THINNER.

APPLICATION

Method: Spraying

Potlife at 20°C: 4 hours

Spray viscosity at 20°C: 15”-16” FC 4

Nozzle: Ø 1.4 mm; HVLP: 1.2 - 1.4 mm

Air pressure: 4 bar; HVLP: 2 - 2.5 bar

Number of coats: 2

Flash-off between coats: 10-15 min. (May vary depending on spray setting, coat thickness and choice of hardener/thinner).

Coat thickness: 25 - 30 µ

Theoretical coverage:

1 liter of mixture = 14 m² at 30 µ

1 kg of mixture = 12.5 m² at 30 µ

VOC (average) for ready-to-use product: ~500 g/l

DRYING TIMES

Air drying at 20°C:

Dust dry: 30-40 min.

Handleable: 6-8 hours

Through dry: 48 hours

Oven drying at 60°C: 30 min. (after 30 min. flash-off at room temperature)

Curing continues for the following 3-4 days and final properties are achieved after 15 days air drying (20°C).

NOTES

The gloss level depends on the colour, application and drying method.

Thicker coats give higher gloss, while thinner coats give lower gloss.

Oven drying results in higher gloss levels.

To achieve a higher gloss: Replace 10% of 29152 with 29143, increasing gloss by 20±5.

For faster curing in cold environments: Add 09167 SPEED-O-DRY (max. 5%).

NOTE:

The product should be mixed immediately after adding toners.

Color formulations with toners 29044 and 29046 should only be used on surfaces not exposed to direct sunlight.

For sun-exposed items, High Resistance or Organic formulations from Lechler MAP® are used.

UV Plus Additive 33333 (up to 5% in the topcoat) improves resistance to sunlight.

29360 INDURITORE NG1 is REACH compliant (<0.1% free monomers) in accordance with EU Regulation 2020/1149.
