Ls159 (29159) Acryl 2K Textur

LS159 ACRYLIC 2K TEXTURE is a two-component acrylic enamel with a fine, structured surface and good direct adhesion to a wide range of metals and plastics.

The product is available in various gloss levels and has excellent filling properties, making it possible to hide minor surface defects.

Application: Suitable for industrial use on metal and plastic surfaces.

*When using on nylon, the use of hardener 29343 LECHSYS ISOLACK ESP INDUSTRY HARDENER in the same mixing ratio as 29342 (20%) is recommended.

Substrate preparation:

Metal: Degrease with 00695 SILICONE REMOVER SLOW and sand lightly with Scotch Brite.

Plastic and resin: Degrease with 00617 PLASTIC CLEANER.

Mixing ratio (weight and volume):

1000 parts LS159 ACRYLIC 2K TEXTURE

200 parts hardener (29342 or 29360)

300–350 parts thinner (00824 Slow or 00825 Standard)

Technical data:

Pot life at 20 °C: 4 hours

Viscosity: 15”-16” (FORD Cup 4)

Nozzle: 1.4 – 1.8 mm

Air pressure: 3 – 5 bar

Coat thickness: 25–30 µ

Coverage:

1 liter = approx. 14 m² at 30 µ

1 kg = approx. 12.5 m² at 30 µ

VOC (ready to use): ~510 g/l

Drying times at 20 °C:

Dust dry: 20–30 minutes

Handling: 6–8 hours

Thoroughly cured: 48 hours

Oven: 60 °C for 30 min. (after 30 min. flash-off at 20 °C)

Curing continues for 3–4 days

Note

The gloss level of the product can be adjusted by mixing LS159 ACRYL 2K TEXTUR with LS143 ACRYL 2K according to the chart in Lechsys TDS (no. 0389).

To accelerate the curing of the product in cold conditions, add 09167 SPEED-O-DRY ADDITIVE (max. 5%).
