Mc401 Macrofan Simply Uhs Clear Coat

Lechler MC401 is a 2K UHS acrylic clearcoat (VOC < 420 g/l). The clearcoat stands out for its easy preparation, where it should be mixed in a 2:1 ratio without the addition of thinner or additives.

MC401 is a versatile clearcoat for the final layer on high-quality two-coat effects, both with metallic and solid finishes.

It is suitable for all types of auto repair work as its excellent vertical properties and outstanding flow ensure excellent performance under various conditions, saving both time and product during the painting process.

DIR 2004/42/CE: Topcoat IIB/d – VOC ready to use 420 g/l. This ready-to-use product contains a maximum of 420 g/l VOC.

Spray application at 20°C: 16-18" DIN4 Air cap diameter: 1.2-1.4 mm Air pressure: as recommended by the manufacturer Dry film thickness: 45-60µ Theoretical coverage: 10.3 m² for 1 kg mixture at 50 µ; 10.4 m² for 1 liter mixture at 50 µ Pot life at 20°C: 90 min

APPLICATION METHODS:

Number of coats: 1 + 1 – Apply a first thin and stretched coat, after flash-off, apply a second full and uniform coat. Between-coat flash-off: 5-10 min. (depending on temperature) Final flash-off: 5-10 min. (depending on temperature)

Drying times:

Air drying at 20°C - handling after 8 hours. Oven drying at 60°C (object temperature) - handling after 15-20 min. Oven drying at 40-50°C (object temperature) - handling after 30-35 min.

IR lamps: (always follow the lamp manufacturer's instructions, times, and distances vary according to the color) Flash from 0 min. Max. power 10-12 min. Distance 60-80 cm.
