It can also be used to remove light to medium oxidation and scratches, car wash scratches, etc. on the original manufacturer's paint.

3M 09374 is recommended for use with an electric or air-powered polisher (1500-2500 rpm) equipped with a 3M Perfect-it Compounding Sponge Pad 09550 or 01927 Perfect-it Wool Compounding Pad and Perfect-it Back-up Pad 09552. Finally, you can polish after with 3M machine polishing, e.g. 0954.

Here's how you do it

1. Apply enough compound to treat a 60 cm x 60 cm area

2. Place the pad over the mixture and spread before starting the machine. (Machine speed = 1500-2500 rpm). If the pad is new or dry, spread some compound on the pad first to 'wet' the pad.

3. Buffer with light to medium pressure

4. Reduce the pressure when the mixture starts to dry up

5. Wipe the surface and check that all sanding scratches have been removed. Apply again if
required.

6. Any compound swirl marks can be easily removed to give a high gloss finish
finish on hard paints with 3M™ Perfect-it™ Machine Polish (09548) on a 3M
™Perfect-it™ High Gloss Polishing Pad (09551)

7. Clean adjacent panel surfaces with a clean plaster wipe. Unpainted plastic
surfaces must be cleaned immediately with soap and water before being moved to
next panel
