Pu 9200 Spoiler Adhesive

TEROSON PU 9200 is used for elastic bonding and sealing in the auto repair industry. Temporary fixing of the joint with adhesive tape or spacers is advised until the adhesive/caulk has the necessary green strength to hold the parts in place. TEROSON PU 9200 offers the important advantage that both bonding and sealing functions can be achieved with one product. The material is generally not suitable for constructive bonding

The product is easy to apply with any professional tool with a piston rod, such as TEROSON® ET STAKU HAND GUN, but for best results TEROSON® ET GUN POWERLINE II or TEROSON® ET AIR GUN MULTIPRESS are recommended. For optimal surface preparation, it is recommended to use TEROSON® VR 10.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Attachment:

Good adhesion without primers to primed and painted vehicle body, wood, plastic. Grinding the surface is recommended for untreated sheet metal. Depending on the surface of the substrate, it is necessary to use a Henkel approved primer as a
adhesion promoter. Due to the large number of different surfaces, we recommend application trials before use.

Pretreatment:

The surfaces to be glued or sealed must be dry, free of oil, dust, grease and other contaminants. For pretreatment we recommend the approved surface preparer of the TEROSON program (TEROSON VR 20), because other
pretreatment products may lead to incompatibilities.

Application:

TEROSON PU 9200 can be applied directly from cartridges using standard air or hand operated weapons. For air pressure application 2 to 5 bar is necessary. Low material temperature will lead to an increase in viscosity, resulting in a
lower extrusion speed. This can be avoided by bringing the material up to room temperature before application. To avoid condensation, it is necessary to bring the substrates up to room temperature. After application, TEROSON PU 9200 can
smooth with a spatula dipped in TEROSON VR 20.

Meter:

After skin formation, TEROSON PU 9200 can be painted over. The paint compatibility of the different paints must be tested before use. Corrosion-protective primer may only be applied to hardened TEROSON PU 9200, as these
usually allows only very low water vapor transmission. In cases where accelerated paint drying in a drying oven or with IR radiation is required (max. 70°C), a pre-reaction/waiting time of at least 30 minutes must be observed. Incompatibility
Nitro repair paints applied from spray cans or alcohol-based paints, thinners and accelerators are not compatible with TEROSON PU 9200 before adequate skin training.

Cleaning:

For cleaning application equipment contaminated with uncured TEROSON PU 9200, we recommend the use of TEROSON VR 20.
