Sikaflex-529 Evolution
About the product
Sikaflex®-529 Evolution is a sprayable, one-component Silane Terminated Polymer (STP) isocyanate-free sprayable body sealant that cures with atmospheric humidity.
It is used to seal welding seams during repairs and after repair of damage to car bodies. Can also be used on car panels to protect and restore original appearance.
It adheres well to all the materials often used by sheet metal workers, e.g. metal primers and paint coatings, metals, painted plastics and plastics. Where used, it improves resistance to rock impact and other attacks on the car body.
Developed for use as a sprayable elastic sealant for sealing weld seams, sheet metal joints and rock impact protection on car bodies. Seek advice and carry out tests using original materials prone to cracking before using Sikaflex®-529 Evolution.
Note! This product should only be used by professional, experienced users. Tests must be carried out on the current items and under the current conditions to ensure adhesion and material compatibility.

Preparation of the surface
The surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease, oil and dust.
The pre-treatment depends on the specific nature of the surfaces and is crucial for a robust adhesion. Suggestions for pre-treatment can be found in the current edition of the Sika® Pre-Treatment Chart. Please note that these suggestions are based on experience and must in any case be verified by testing on the actual surfaces.
Application
Sikaflex®-529 Evolution can be used at temperatures between 5°C and 40°C, but changes in reactivity and application properties must be expected.
