Waterbase 900+ Series
About the product
A waterbased base-coat layer in a clear-over-base system. Suitable for passenger cars, touring cars and commercial vehicles.
With a complete range of toners which provide you the option to mix the most common OEM colours in the market.
The WaterBase 900 series is one of the most user-friendly water-based coating systems currently available. Using the WaterBase 900 series is as simple as using regular basecoat.
With its carefully selected toners (including pearl, metallic, and xirallic blend colors), the WaterBase 900 series has been kept simple. Combined with primers, clearcoats, and hardeners, this system delivers excellent results at a modest price.
It should only be applied to well-sanded and degreased, primed parts of clean steel, primed aluminum, and primed plastic. Properly sanded GRPs, OEM primers, and old lacquer systems in good condition.
When mixing the basecoat, add 10-20% thinner.
Surface preparation
Clean the surface with degreaser. Degrease and dry. Sand the surface with P400 or finer sanding grain. Remove all sanding residues with compressed air and vacuum, clean with degreaser again, degrease and dry again.
Note that these basecoats must be finished with a clearcoat.
