40-177 Xtrm-Dry 2K Epoxy Primer Gray

40-177 Xtrm-dry 2K Epoxy Primer is a quick-drying, chromate-free wet-on-wet filler based on epoxy resin. It works perfectly as a primer before applying polyester body filler and polyester spray filler. It adheres to steel, aluminum and zinc substrates.

Mix 1 to 1 with 40-177HN Xtrm-dry epoxy hardener normal.

It has very good fluidity, dries quickly and offers exceptional overspray capabilities, ensuring quick clarity for overcoating after only 20-30 minutes and at the same time optimal gloss.

If necessary, 40-177 Xtrm-dry 2K Epoxy Primer can be sanded after only 3-4 hours of drying at 20 °C. The drying time for overpainting and sanding depends on the applied layer thickness: With a spray layer of approx. 25 micrometers (DFT) can be painted over after 20 minutes at 20 °C and sanded after 3 hours at 20 °C. In the case of several sprayings with approx. 50 micrometers (DFT) can be painted over after 30 minutes at 20 °C and sanded after 4 hours at 20 °C.
