50-005 Gator-Skin + Hardener

G-Skin is an ultra-durable, scratch-resistant, affordable textured paint, perfect as a hard-wearing coating for truck beds, trucks and other surfaces exposed to heavy use. In this set you get 1 litre of paint ready to use. You get 750 ml + 250 ml hardener (included).

Gator-Skin is a 2-component polyurethane (2K PU) coating that provides outstanding protection against rust, corrosion and UV radiation. This specially developed coating is chemical resistant and can withstand exposure to fuels, oils and other aggressive substances.

Easy application: G-Skin can be easily applied using a UBC gun, roller or brush.

Instructions for use

Colored version: Mix G-Skin with 2K paint in a ratio of 10:1.

Tinting up to 10%. Use solvent-based PU paint for tinting. 2K paints must be mixed with their hardener before adding to G-Skin. Mix well after each addition of hardener, tinter and thinner.

Hardener/Activator: Mix G-Skin with G-Skin hardener in a ratio of 3:1.

The hardener is poured directly into the G-Skin container - remember to shake thoroughly for approx. 60 seconds before use.

Pot life/processing time after adding hardener is 60 minutes at 20 °C

Pre-treatment: Clean and degrease the surface. Sand the surface with suitable sandpaper (80-180 grit) to ensure good adhesion of the new coating. Then clean the surface again.

Application: There are various methods and ways to influence your finish.

1st coat sprayed evenly with a distance of 20 cm.

2nd coat, reduced pressure and applied as a drop coat for smooth texture

Roller application
1. Pour the G-SKIN mixture into a suitable container.
2. Apply G-SKIN to hard-to-reach areas with a brush.
3. Apply the product with a suitable paint roller.
4. Dip the roller into the paint and apply with medium pressure.
5. When applying G-SKIN by roller, the film thickness is reduced. This means that additional coats may be required. If you wish to apply additional coats, please observe the recommended flash-off time.

Drying time 20°C

Touch dry - less than 1 hour

Fully dry - 5 to 7 days

Allow a flash-off time of 60 minutes between coats at 20°C

We recommend carrying out a test application first to determine the desired texture. Do not use the product in extremely high or low temperatures. The ideal application temperature is 20°C with a humidity of less than 60%.
