3M has combined their durable, waterproof paper backing with A-weight and efficient silicon carbide mineral to ensure a consistent sanding pattern and easier polishing.

Silicon carbide is an extremely hard mineral with a very fast grinding effect. The sharp projections in the mineral break easily, resulting in new sharp edges and thus an even and professional finish. Use our sanding sheets wet or dry and on paint, primers, gel coatings or metal. Used in a wet state to minimize dust formation and clogging of the abrasive during light tasks such as final fine sanding.
