About the product
BIOARA 20 is an acrylic semi-matt indoor dispersion paint for walls and ceilings indoors. Suitable for painting walls and ceilings in kitchens, entrances, staircases, children's and classrooms.
The product is classified in group M1 in the Emission Classification of building materials. The Finnish Allergy and Asthma Association has granted the product the right to use their allergy label. The product has been granted the right to use the Nordic eco-label "Swan label".
New surfaces are cleaned of dust and dirt. Previously painted surfaces are cleaned with primer. Hard or shiny surfaces are sanded matt and the dust is removed. Remove all old paint from surfaces that have been painted with glue paint or have been whitewashed. Irregularities in the surface are puttied with a suitable putty compound from the SILORA series. The dry, puttied surface is sanded and the sanding dust is removed.
Stir thoroughly before use. Apply 1-2 times.
The surface to be treated must be dry. During application and drying, the temperature of the air, the surface and the product must be above +5 °C and the relative humidity below 80%. Good ventilation during application and drying promotes the drying process.
It takes approx. 4 weeks before the final paint film is formed under normal conditions and then the final durability and hardness is achieved. Before then, the painted surface should be treated carefully. Cleaning the surface can be done with a cloth with a neutral (pH 6-8) cleaning agent. Detergent and dirt are removed by wiping and/or rinsing with clean water. Use a cleaning cloth, soft sponge or similar. for cleaning Avoid rough brushing or heavy wear. Follow the dilution and other instructions of the detergent manufacturer when using detergents.
Stir thoroughly before use. Dilute if necessary with water. Apply 1-2 times with a brush, roller or spray-suitable nozzle size. with airless spraying is 0.017-0.021".
