Overview of the most popular RAL colors

To help you make the most of the variety and quality of colors that the RAL system offers, I have compiled some of our most popular RAL colors that we mix on our mixing machine or sell in spray cans. Although the RAL Classic color system has a "limited" number of color tones to choose from, it can be time-consuming to go through each color in the system. Therefore, here is a hit list of popular RAL colors that can be inspiration for your next project.

RAL 3000

RAL 3000 - Flame Red. The official German name for the shade is Feuerrot. A super beautiful and widely used red color.

RAL 3020

RAL 3020 - Traffic Red.

RAL 5005

RAL 5005 - Signal Blue. A blue shade that can be seen on many steel and lockers.

RAL 6005

RAL 6005 Moss green. A beautiful green tone for topcoat on machines, tractors and agricultural equipment.

RAL 6018

RAL 6018 Yellow Green

RAL 6021

RAL 6021 Pale green, also called dusty green. Super modern green shade for, for example, giving new life to an old IKEA IVAR piece of furniture.

RAL 7001

RAL 7001 - Silver grey. This is the RAL color code that most resembles stainless steel and therefore it should be included in the list here.

RAL 7012

RAL 7012 - Basalt grey. Widely used in commercial and industrial environments. Popular as a color for machine parts and marine vessels.

RAL 7015

RAL 7015 - Slate grey. A warm grey tone, which is one of the most popular grey tones, both industrially and in the home.

RAL 7016

RAL 7016 - Anthracite grey. One of the most popular shades. In recent years, it has become a preferred color for modern main doors and windows.

RAL 7024

RAL 7024 - Graphite grey. The colour tone has some similarities to RAL 7015, but it is slightly darker and exudes depth and a slightly pastel effect. The colour is often used for industrial vehicles and machinery and maritime vessels.

RAL 7035

RAL 7035 - Light grey. A nice subtle grey shade that is seen in many places, such as motorways, public transport or heavy industry.

RAL 9005

RAL 9006

RAL 9006 - White aluminium. Where blue and grey meet to form a pastel-like hue that exudes both depth and clarity. A beautiful "silvery" colour.

RAL 9007 - Grey aluminium. A slightly darker silver grey than RAL 9006.

RAL 9016 - Traffic White. This tone is actually whiter than RAL 9010 Pure White. RAL 9016 is more "white", and is often used for road markings and signage throughout the country. It harmonizes very well with RAL 9017 Traffic Black.

RAL 9017 - Traffic black. The list ends with my personal black RAL shade. The tone has a nice depth of color and contrasts nicely with RAL 9016.
