About the product

Teknolac 2190 is an air-drying alkyd topcoat for steel and primed surfaces. Provides a glossy surface that is elastic, weather-resistant and retains its gloss. Resistant to oil and water.

Drying time at +23 °C / 50 % RH

- surface dry (ISO 1517) Approx. 20 min.

- dry to handle (ISO 3678) Approx. 3 hours

Drying time at +80 °C / 50 % RH

Heat drying: Thoroughly dry after 30 min. The drying time is specified for a layer thickness of 40 µm dry film.

Optimal adhesion and protection against corrosion is achieved by priming with the following type: TEKNOLAC PRIMER HB 2043.

The product is manufactured with a gloss of < 20 measured at an angle of 60°. Pretreatment The surfaces are cleaned of impurities that may be harmful to the surface treatment and paint. In addition, water-soluble salts are removed using appropriate methods. The surfaces of the various materials are subsequently pre-treated.

Application is by air spraying, airless or dipping.
