Teknolac Combi 2144

Fast drying. Provides a hard surface that is resistant to weak acids and bases as well as oil and water. Suitable for painting machines, racks and steel structures.

Standard thinner: TEKNOSOLV 6120-00.

Slow thinner: TEKNOSOLV 6670-00.

Pretreatment

The surfaces are cleaned of impurities that may be harmful to the pretreatment and application. In addition, water-soluble salts are removed by appropriate methods. The surfaces of the different materials are pretreated as follows: COLD ROLLED SURFACES: Clean with a suitable pretreatment chemical. HOT ROLLED SURFACES: Sandblast to cleanliness level SA 2½ (ISO 8501-1).

Conventional TEKNOSOLV 6120-00 (standard) 20-25 seconds or TEKNOSOLV 6670-00 (slow) 20-25 seconds.

Airless TEKNOSOLV 6120-00 (standard) 30-35 or TEKNOSOLV 6670-00 (slow) 30-35 s

Application conditions

The surface to be treated must be dry. During application and drying, the air, surface and product temperature must be above +5 °C and the relative humidity below 80%. Normally unlimited overspray-proof when diluted with TEKNOSOLV 6670-00. Please ask our consultant for further information.

Drying time +23 °C / 50 % RH (dry film 40 µm)

- dust dry Approx. 10 min. (ISO 1517)

- tack-free Approx. 30 min. (ISO 3678)

- forced drying +60 °C / 50 % RH

- through-dry: 30 min.

At layer thicknesses of 80 µm or more there is a risk of cracking - if drying time and temperature are not observed.
