Afe Flame Protect 2468-00

Substrate: Solid wood and wood-based panels with a thickness of > 8 mm and a density of ≥ 338 kg/m³ with reference to the relevant classification report.

Used as an industrial fire retardant topcoat as part of a system called Teknos FR Panel with TEKNOSAFE FLAME GUARD 2467-10 to improve response to fire (EN 13501-1) on interior wood surfaces - see https://www.teknos.com/products /teknosafe-flame-protect-2468-00/.

Before use, contact Teknos to check the suitability of the product in question. The fire-retardant properties are classified according to B-s 1, d0 EN 13501-1 (SBI test) as part of the Teknos FR Panel system. Durability classes for reaction to fire on fire-retardant wood-based products in end-use applications according to EN 16755 – DRF class INT1 and INT2. M1 classification, A+ Émissions l'air intérieur: For industrial use.

Pre-treatment The wood must be free of wood dust and dirt. The moisture content of the wood must be approx. 10% and should not exceed 12%.

Application method Airless spraying, Air-assisted airless spraying. Applied industrially.

Drying time +23 °C / 50 % RH

- handling dry 1-2 hours
- dry thoroughly Min. 4 hours

An increase in the layer thickness and a higher humidity in the room will usually prolong the drying process. If forced drying is used, contact the supplier for guidance.
